Today would be Granny's ninety-first birthday here on earth. Instead, it is her third birthday in Heaven. She died 25 March 2010 and I miss her very much.
She was a strong lady, outspoken and blunt. She said what she meant and you didn't have to question where you stood with her. Inside, she was a teddy bear. She had need of many stitches along the way to keep that heart together because life wasn't easy for her. Hurts were many, but still her love was strong.
I miss you, Granny. Happy birthday!
What a sweet memory of your grandmother! I was lucky enough to just celebrate my grandmother's 100th birthday in January! ~ Angela, Whole Foods Living, http://www.wholefoodsliving.blogspot.com/

I have so many great memories of my grandparents. They died too young... wished I could have had a few more years with them!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean! I think, no matter their ages, they leave us way too young. I am glad that you have great memories of your grandparents, too. :)

Thanks for the sweet comment about my husband's aunt. She was loved by everyone. It has been a while since I read your blog.
ReplyDeleteWishing Happy Birthday to your own grandmother in heaven. It'a nice place to be at peace even though she is missed here on earth.

You're welcome.
DeleteIt has been awhile since I've been to this blog, too, and it is my own blog. How bad is that? haha I have gotten all caught up in the A to Z Blogging Challenge on my P.S. Annie! http://ps-annie.blogspot.com blog and seem to be ignoring everything else. I can't seem to do more than one thing at a time anymore. :)
Thank you for the happy birthday wishes for my granny.
