Why is it those that preach tolerance are some of the most intolerant people there are? Why is it that when Christians speak their hearts and minds, they are called narrow-minded and bigoted and expected to keep their mouths shut so as not to "offend", yet every other religion (or non-religion) can say whatever they dang well please and we're supposed to just suck it up and not have a problem with it?
Why are Christians the only ones required to lack passion for their beliefs and are expected to put them aside so no one is offended? Are we "nobodies" that are exceptions to the "don't want to offend anybody" rules? It doesn't count if it is a Christian that gets offended? We're intolerant because we get upset when someone tries to deny us the expression of our religion while touting their own?
Yes, something prompted this and it probably wouldn't be prudent of me to spill the beans about what that "something" is.
Whatever the person on the other side of the table is, it does not change who I am on THIS side of the table.
With that, I remain...
Your sis in Christ,
Suzanne
