I came across a blog called "Hey Harriet" earlier today with a photo opportunity for Sundays. It is called "Shadow Shot Sunday". We are to take pictures of shadows and that is something that I have always enjoyed doing. :)
This photo was taken on 25 March 2011 at the Varner-Hogg Plantation in West Columbia, Texas.
I thought that it would be fun to play with a vintage treatment, so first, I used a Topaz Dramatic filter on the image. Then, I used a vintage action to give it the pink tinting. I thought that this particular vintage tint suited it because the house ultimately belonged to a woman.
That's really cool! I like your vintage treatment! The pinkish tint gives it a nice soft feel. Thanks so much for joining in Shadow Shot Sunday :)
ReplyDeleteHey there! Thanks so much. I enjoyed playing along. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat shadow and beautiful color!
ReplyDeleteThe shadow is as inviting as the original!
ReplyDeleteWELCOME THE SHADOWS
Welcome the shadows surrounding your life,
Treat them as lover or husband or wife;
Welcome them in as you would one who’s dear;
Hug them, embrace them without any fear;
Honor, respect them, and give them their due,
For shadow and light are both parts of you.

Thank you, Joan and MMT, for visiting and for the nice comments. I appreciate it very much.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing the poem, MTT...how true it is. We're all made up of good and bad, some having more one than the other. I've always found shadows to be quite intriguing.
Lovely shot and I like the pink tint to it.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Mississippi Artist, for your kind comment and for visiting my blog. :)
