1. Decay
Rust is a form of decay and I found rust on a farm implement known as a hay rake while visiting the Varner-Hogg Plantation in West Columbia, Texas this past Friday. I think that the old farm tools hold much more character, although more strenuous labor, than the new, modern machinery available to farmers today.
2. Three
I love flowers of all types, including those more normally referred to as "weeds". Like someone else said on their post a few days ago, "hey, weeds are flowers, too!". (Sorry, but I don't know who it was that posted it.)
3. Kitchen
I love most anything that involves a Tuscan or Mediterranean theme, especially when it involves grapes. This Biscotti jar is no exception. I do not remember how it came to be in my possession, but I am glad that it did. I love the bit of color that it gives to my kitchen.
4. Hmmm
This is a collection of seeds that will fly away to grow a who-knows-what. I certainly do not know. :) I thought that it was interesting and there are a ton of them in my backyard right now. I like to photograph things that are different from the norm in nature photography. I see lots of pretty flower pictures around, but not so many of the seeds.
5. Me Time
One of my favorite things to do is to knit, especially things for babies. This soft shade of green is the one that I use most frequently for baby projects.
Great work - I love the simplicity of your second shot.
ReplyDeleteGreat interpretations...love your rusty decay shot & your hmmm seed shot. Nature is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteFantastic shots! The first and second photos are my favorites. :)
ReplyDeleteLove your interpretation of decay. Cool perspective.
ReplyDeleteLove your kitchen and decay shots. Glad you are picking up your camera-it serves you well. Had to visit your blog. I have a bunch of friends who call me "Suz" too. Never Susie tho.
ReplyDeleteMostly I'm a Susan.
Hope you'll do that scavenger hunt again, it's always fun.
Thank you so much, Ashley, Julie, Jessica, Jill and Dorian for the kind comments. I really enjoyed this scavenger hunt. I plan to participate again and hopefully on a regular basis. :)
ReplyDeleteI have also found a new photography project to participate in called Project Life Tuesday. The link to it is in my sidebar. It looks like it will be fun, too.
Have a wonderful day!
Your sis in Christ,
Suz
