Meet Me On Monday

I have been visiting a ton of blogs lately, seeing all sorts of cute things, beautiful things, even some sad things. One of the fun things that I found was a blog called Never Growing Old. It is a site that is over-40 friendly. :)

Each Sunday they post questions for us to respond to on our own blogs on Monday. Here are the questions for this week:

1. If you had to eat only one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Shrimp! Shrimp! Shrimp! Of course, if I did that the whole "rest of your life"
part would be very short for me! But, oh, would I die happy. haha

2. Do you write your blog posts in advance or the day you post them?

I do a little bit of both. I am prone to forgetting things, so if I think of something
ahead of schedule, I go ahead and write it and schedule it to post on a particular day.
With my blog "One Thousand Gifts", it is almost always written on the day that it is posted.

3. Have you ever ridden in an ambulance?

Yes. When my oldest son was about seven years old, he had terrible tummy pains while
he was at school. My husband and I only had one car at the time and he was at work 45
miles away. I had no choice but to call an ambulance to take us to the hospital.
I was terrified that he had appendicitis and I had heard that could kill people. He
turned out to be fine in regards to appendicitis, PTL!

The one thing that was not alright, however, was that we got scolded by the doctor
for calling an ambulance for a non-emergency. How was I to know that the pain that
was doubling him over and had him crying his eyes out was not something serious? If
I had not had him seen, we would have been in trouble for that, too. Good grief!

4. What is your favorite candle scent?

There are so many pretty scents out there that it would be easier for me to tell you my
least favorite scents, which are vanilla and the one that smells like suntan lotion. But,
I cannot use scented candles anyway. The fragrances give me a headache.

5. Coffee or tea?

Definitely tea, iced tea! My most favorite tea was made by my Granny Gunter. It was so
laden with sugar that you could stand a spoon in it if you wanted to. It was a dentist's
dream come true. Rest in peace, Granny.

I love the smell of most coffees, but I cannot stand the taste. My husband drinks it,
so I can just sniff his whenever I need a fix. :)
